WordPress’ shortcodes API, allow us to use, inside post and page content, a set of macro codes, inspired by BBCode formatting code, when presenting to the website visitant, are substituted by the function they abstract. In addition to WordPress’ shortcodes, both themes and plugins can add new ones. We will find all about it in this article.
